Is it equipped with a trailer hitch and appropriate wiring for trailer lights?
- Trailer hitches are available in various towing capacities. Be sure the one on your vehicle is capable of handling your new trailer safely and legally.
- Ensure all trailer light wiring is in good clean working order. If you suspect a problem, our Service technicians can diagnose and repair the issue in a timely manner.
Do you have the proper size trailer ball and ball mount?
- Trailer balls come in various sizes; the most popular are 1-7/8", 2", and 2-5/16". Generally speaking, a single axle trailer will have a 2" coupler, and larger, tandem axle trailers have a 2-5/16" coupler. A 1-7/8" coupler will typically be found on smaller boat trailers, as well as some smaller RV's such as tent trailers.

Is your new trailer equipped with electric brakes?
